Empty Tomb Rolls

Empty Tomb Rolls or Resurrection Rolls

These Empty Tomb Rolls are not only easy to make, they require only a few ingredients and are super yummy. A great combination when cooking with kids.

Of course, Empty Tomb Rolls (or Resurrection Rolls as they are also called) do more than just offer a yummy snack on Easter Morning, they're also a great way to teach the story of the Resurrection of Christ.

Marshmallows are dipped in melted butter, then into a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. The coated marshmallows are then wrapped in the dough from a tube of crescent rolls. The rolls are cooked until golden brown, then drizzled with a simple vanilla icing.

As you make these Empty Tomb Rolls, you can talk about the Resurrection of Jesus. Of course, little ones will be thrilled when they bite into their rolls and discover that the marshmallow is gone ... just like the body of Jesus. In place of the marshmallow, they'll find a delicious, gooey, marshmallowy goodness with a hint of cinnamon.

The trick is to make sure that the marshmallow is completely enclosed in the dough before baking. That way, you won't have to worry about the melted marshmallow leaking out of the bread and making a big mess on your baking sheet.

Hope you enjoy these wonderful Resurrection Rolls as much as my family does!

Delicious Thai Chicken Soup

It's one of those days ... the weather is lousy, we've had a hectic weekend and tomorrow it's back to another busy week. Today is a great day to relax with a hearty and flavorful bowl of Chicken Thai Soup.

Forget about heading out to your favorite Thai restaurant, this soup is very easy to prepare at home and you'll find the results of your efforts will be fantastic.

I have to admit, I'm a die-hard Thai food aficionado. I love all things Thai, but cranking up the heat isn't always possible, especially when I need to feed 5 kids. Fortunately, my kids all have a fairly adventurous palate and this delicious soup can easily be  adjusted for your heat tolerance.

Don't let the list of ingredients deter you; everything can be found in most grocery stores or your local Asian market.

Visit my website to find a complete list of ingredients as well as detailed instructions (with pictures) to make this delicious soup!
